Topic: Spring Meeting
To all invited personnel:
I am calling the Spring Meeting for Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the Holiday Inn in Springfield, MA on Dwight Street.
Starting time is 10:00 AM and finishing at 2:00 PM. Coffee and brunch will be provided.
If for any reason you cannot attend this meeting, please contact the State Commissioner, Ed Ladley (413) 499-4656 immediately. If you will be sending a substitute, you must, also, notify Ed Ladley of the name and title of the substitute.
Directions to the Holiday Inn on Dwight Street in Springfield:
From the West – Mass Pike to Exit 4 - Springfield, 91 South to Exit 2B-291 East to Dwight Street.
From the East – Mass Pike to Exit 6 , 291 West to Exit 2B (Dwight Street)

New Massachusetts State Junior Olympics Commissiner:
It is with great pleasure that I announce that Wayne Coe has agreed to take over the position of Massachusetts State Junior Olympics Commissioner. Wayne has been active with the JOs for a long time. He can be reached at 978-840-8068. He can also be reached through his web page. Massachusetts Junior Olympic Amateur Softball Association.
New Central District Commissioner:
Mr. Paul Joseph has accepted the position of Central District Commissioner.
New Officers:
New officers have been installed in the Worcester area. The new Area Commissioner is Tom Kirklauskas. Tim Paquette is now the Umpire-in-Chief for the Worcester area. Team registrations for the Central area should be sent to Tom while Umpire registration should be sent to Tim.

Recognition Awards

Tim Paquette and Ed Ladley
Tim received an award for Heroism when he helped respond to a plane crash and assisted the victim.
Ed and Chuck
Chuck received recognition for attaining the Elite status in the ASA, one of only 3 in Massachusetts.
